Meet Jennifer

The last few years my health journey has taken a more holistic path and I am passionate about helping others make improvements to their own health and wellness.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and a Master of Science in School Counseling. After 5 years of working as a High School Counselor in Cambridge-Isanti, we decided to move our family to St. Michael. We have lived here for 19 years and continue to enjoy our community. I worked as a High School Counselor in St. Michael-Albertville for 9 years, followed by 4 years on the school board. The past several years I have been working as a Certified High Performance Coach and Personal Development Coach. Over the past few years, I have added Functional Muscle Testing (FMT), Nutrition

Response Testing (NRT), and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) to my tool box of skills.

Since having our youngest child, I struggled with digestive issues, bloating and pain. I tried connecting it to foods but couldn’t quite pinpoint the cause. After a rough time with Covid in early 2020, I struggled and felt unhealthy. I had daily brain fog, low energy, body aches, headaches, anxiety, tinnitus, and would wake up tired. I didn’t know exactly what changes to make but I knew I wanted to feel better and more active in life. This is when I began seeing a NRT Practitioner. This process was very eye opening. We discovered what was affecting my health and what was causing extra stress on my body. It was also helpful to learn what foods I was sensitive to and what nutritional ways I could heal and strengthen my body.

Since using NRT and a more holistic approach, I’ve experienced great improvements. My energy is back! I am sleeping great and waking up feeling rested. I no longer struggle with digestive issues. I feel an inner sense of calm and no longer experience anxiety. Also, my brain fog has lifted along with many other positive health outcomes.

Nourishing food is so important. A well-balanced diet not only provides you the energy you need to stay active throughout the day but also the nutrients you need for growth and repair, for helping you stay strong and healthy, and to help prevent diet-related illnesses.

As an Advanced Practitioner, my goal is to empower individuals to become knowledgeable about and responsible for their own health and wellness. Through the use of nutrition, mindfulness, lifestyle strategies, and supplementation when appropriate, I help clients create personal health goals.  Together, we work towards meeting those goals through customized, relevant recommendations. I take an individualized and holistic approach to address chronic symptoms such as fatigue, digestive dysfunction (gas, bloating, constipation), hormonal imbalances, and more through optimized digestion, sustainable lifestyle practices, and targeted nutrition. Your body is a well created machine that has the ability to heal and restore if given what it needs.

Helping people with their mind and body has always been a passion of mine. I quickly realized becoming a FMTP and NTP would allow me to help people in a whole new way right alongside mind and body. Wherever you may be in your health journey, I look forward to helping you heal and stay well!
